Hi Corey, thank you for the kind words and for the great suggestions. We'll pass them to the product manager for the BEE project. Thanks again!
Paste With Styles
First of all, I love this product, amazing work on it! I was wondering if it will be possible in the future to allow for styles to travel with text that is copy and pasted into the builder from Word or other apps that a copywriter may create copy in? Several other email platforms (i.e. Campaign Monitor, MailJet) have this ability and it usually just carries any Bolding, Italics, etc. over so that you don't have to reapply these attributes in the builder, leaving room for error by missing some. I have even seen some (i.e. Emma) that provide a dialog box to give you the option of pasting with or without styles right after you hit paste.

Any update to this in the last two years? I just ran into this issue and was wondering if any fixes are on the roadmap.
Hi Jakob, the text editor has not changed (we used a third-party system), so unfortunately that behavior has not changed. We inherit the way the text editor works. We are indeed looking at replacing it, but we don't have an ETA on that yet.
I've also noticed that sometimes when copying and pasting into the editor the text appears in the editor but in Preview and when you send an email the text is missing.
I tested cutting this text out and repasting it and it then works.
Is there any way Massimo to avoid this issue?
Hi Andy, when you paste text from an external tool, the editor clean it from custom attributes and proprietary styling (that's what causes the general style lose, by the way). In some cases, this operation is not successful at all, causing this issue. Could you please give us details on the application used to copy the text?
This is pasting in from Microsoft Word, and it breaks when there are line breaks, e.g.
Here are some.
It appears to be related to linebreaks being applied to a <div> that doesn't have <p> tags inside it. I.e. this breaks:
<div>Text in here that gets pasted over</div>
Where this seems to work (most of the time):
<div><p>Text in here that gets pasted over</p></div>
Hi Andy, sorry for the late reply, I was off the last weeks.
Thanks for sharing with us what you found. We will continue working to improve text management and avoid any issue with formatting.
In the meantime, did you try using the clean formatting option? If it doesn't work, I'm afraid that the only available workaround is pasting the text into a plain text tool and copying it again :(
Do you mean the "paste as plain text" option that's in Chrome? Or is there another way to make apply the clean formatting option?
The Chrome "paste as plain text" doesn't work unfortunately, thanks,
Hi Andy, there is a tool in the bar that clears the text formatting:
I'm afraid, but, that it doesn't work with the most severe issues.
