Previews for merge data

One feature that would be very powerful would be to allow not just the name and value but also a preview block that would allow an example of content to be passed.

For example, a "name" might have value of {{name}} or [name] and a preview of "Dave Smith".

Similarly, a more complex replacement called "terms_and_conds" might have a value of "[[template file='/base/standard/terms.html]]" and preview of "<table><tr><th>Terms</th>...<strong>Formatted text</strong>...</td></tr></table".

Obviously one of the difficulties with the latter insert is that it would want to be inserted outside of a block or row. So that would be a separate suggestions - the ability to insert a minimal block or row that just allows the insertion of custom html outside of the block contents.

Thanks Robert, great suggestion (preview for merge tags). We're going to look into it how to make this happen.

With regard to Custom HTML block, that's already on the roadmap and will come soon!

With regard to previewing merge content in the message preview pane (by providing some sample content to be displayed), it is indeed something that we are looking at adding, but it is not yet in development and we don't have an ETA for it yet.

Just started using bee PRO and this is probably the biggest request I would have, second to collaborative editing.

Even if there's no mechanism to create merge tags in beePRO, being able to setup dummy merge values that could be substituted into a test message (or toggled in the editor) would be a killer feature.
