Saving re-usable template elements

Hi,

We are designing email templates and we would like to save content 'blocks' that we have created, so they can be re-used - in the same email and ideally also in other email templates.  In the same vein, we would like to be able to save commonly used colors - for example I have some text that is  #228f67 in one of the blocks, and in other blocks I want to use this color consistently. But I find that I have to manually copy and paste that hex value from one place to another.

For example, I have a block with a "Order Now" button, that has a specific style, with a 2px border and so on.  I know I can duplicate the block in the current email and that's good.  It would be nice to be able to select the block from a list of saved blocks in the current email or another email.

Any suggestions?
