Hello Arnaud.
May I ask on which Gmail (browser, app...) you are viewing the rendering issue and its version?

Hello Arnaud; thank you for the information.
I could not replicate the issue after testing using my Gmail on Chrome.
The issue could be caused by some feature in your email account, you can check if they are blocking external content or if it does not show the complete message: If your email is larger than 102KB Gmail will automatically clip the message, The limit is based on the content in the HTML code. This will include formatting, text, URLs (including link tracking and images) and more.
Another thing that could cause the issue is your browser's version: please check that it's updated to the latest version.
I hope this helps.

Hi Roisin,
Thanks for your feedback but I have the same issue on Gmail on ChromeAnd interestingly it's only been 2 weeks since the problem appeared. Before no problem on any mailbox.
Now I have this display on different mailboxes on different browsers.I don't think it's a size issue.
And other users (who received my email) have the same display.

Hello Arnaud.
Thank you for the additional information.
While I was testing again and checking various issues, I realised this is caused by an issue that we recently discovered related to Gmail: it stopped supporting CSS background images, the way we use them in our messages.
Chrome v114 for Windows and v115 for MacOS seem most affected. At the start, I didn't think of it because, in your case, the issue is tied to a video, but then I was told that we insert Youtube videos as CSS backgrounds and overlay a play button over it.
Our developers are already working on a fix for this issue, but I do not have an ETA to provide.
For the moment, as a workaround, you can use an image and link it to the video to recreate the same exact behaviour as the video block.
