Using Metadata and Analytics in Pages
This article applies to the Page builder in all plans. However, some features may be limited or unavailable on the Starter plan.
Overview
The Settings and Analytics section of Page details provides the following options:
- Metadata, such as title and description
- Tracking codes for Google Analytics or Meta Pixel
- Custom script for tracking
Let's take a closer look at how you can utilize these features.
Metadata
This option allows you to set a title and description. This information will display if your landing page populates as search engine results. Your title will also populate at the end of the page URL. Finally, you'll see both the title and description in the preview if you share the page on social media.
So, for example, if you insert the following:
The page will populate like this if shared on Facebook:
If you want to test your metadata, we recommend using a tool such as https://metatags.io/.
Analytics
This feature is not available in the Starter plan.
Beefree offers three options for landing page analytics. It's important to keep in mind that Beefree itself does not record any analytics for your page. This option allows you to place tracking codes or scripts in a design created with our builder. This can enable external analytics tools to track your Beefree page traffic.
Before you use this option, make sure you know which analytics tool you're using. We've created specific fields for popular tracking tools like Google Analytics and Meta. If you use any other tracking tool, you'll need to use the Custom script option instead.
If you've applied a tracking code to your page, an icon will populate in the details for confirmation. The tracking code is inserted directly into the HTML for your landing page.
Google Analytics
Simply copy and paste your Google Analytics tracking ID into the field and save. We'll insert the tracking code immediately after the <head> tag in your landing page's HTML.
Google is currently migrating from UA to G4. The Beefree field supports the formats for both options.

Meta Pixel
Simply copy and paste your Meta Pixel tracking ID into the appropriate field and save. We'll insert the tracking code immediately after the <head> tag in your landing page's HTML.
Note that Beefree only supports the original Meta pixel. You cannot use their Conversions API with Beefree.

Custom Script
We know that there are plenty of tracking services to choose from. If you're using a different service from those mentioned above, you can still use this feature! To start, you'll need to find the tracking script provided by your analytics platform. Simply copy and paste the code into the Custom script field.
Beefree does not modify any syntax entered into this field. However, our system will check the provided code to ensure the syntax is valid. You must have both an opening and closing <script> tag in this field to save the custom script.
We'll insert your custom script at the bottom of the HTML immediately before the </body> tag.
