Exporting to Salesforce Marketing Cloud
This article applies to the Email builder in all BEE Pro plans.
Level Up your Emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
BEE is all about creating beautiful emails, fast. By connecting your Salesforce Marketing Cloud and BEE Pro accounts, you can push your designs to Salesforce with the push of a button.
You can connect the two applications in one of the following ways:
- Connect your BEE Pro and Salesforce accounts before you start designing (from Workspace Settings)
- Connect the first time you need to send a specific template to Salesforce (from Export)
1. Connect from Workspace Settings
Go to Settings > Connectors.
Click the Connect button for Salesforce.
Insert the following info to set up the connector:
- Account ID
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Authentication Base URL
To find your Salesforce Account ID, navigate to Profile > Setup > Company settings > Account settings.
To find the other three parameters, navigate to Apps > Installed Packages > Create a new Package. This new package is specific to the BEE Pro connector. Once you've created the Package, select the options Add Component > API Integration > Server-to-Server. In the final step, you must set the scope settings. Your package must include both read and write permissions for the following:
- CHANNELS
- ASSETS
- Documents and Images
- Saved Content
2. Connect from Export
When your design is ready, click on the Export button found on the Email Details page. This option is also available from the actions menu for your email.
And then click on Push to your sending system.
A new window will display the list of the available connectors. Select Salesforce and follow the steps to log in and connect it. If you have already connected, you will not be asked to do so again.
BEE Pro will confirm that the design has been successfully exported. You will see it appear in your Salesforce account.
If exporting an Email that you've already pushed to Salesforce, BEE Pro will recognize this. You can update the existing version in Salesforce using the Update existing option. This export option will overwrite the existing version. If you want to export a new version of your page instead, use Create as new.
Salesforce will store your exported email as an email. You can find it in the beepro-exports folder. You can rename the name folder if you prefer. If you disconnect and reconnect the connector again, we'll create another beepro-exports folder.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Required Content
Salesforce requires the following syntax for you to use a BEE Pro design in their system:
- A profile center link
<a href=“%%profile_center_url%%” alias=“Update Profile”>Update Profile</a>
- A valid physical mailing address*
This email was sent by: %%Member_Busname%% %%Member_Addr%% %%Member_City%%, %%Member_State%%, %%Member_PostalCode%%, %%Member_Country%%
- Code for tracking opens
<custom name=“opencounter” type=“tracking”/>
*If using template-based emails in Salesforce, the footer includes the physical mailing address.
You can insert all of this content through the use of merge tags and special links. Without this information, Salesforce will return an error when you send the email.

This is great news! Would love to see the same functionality in Salesforce Pardot which is their native marketing tool for leads, contacts, etc.
This is exciting! Re-iterating Kyle's suggestion to activate for Pardot PLEASE!
And I echo Kyle and Kirk, please have the same for Pardot! We'd love this! :)
Pardon please for me too!
