Using design status
This article applies to all plans. However, some features may be limited depending on your Beefree plan.
Overview
In Beefree, you can specify the status of a design by choosing between 3 available statuses:
- Draft
- In Review
- Approved
The status can be set on the design details page or using the Approval Workflow. The details page is where you land after exiting the Beefree builder. You can also find this page by selecting View details from the drop-down menu on the design list.
Once a status is applied, it is shown on the design details page. If storing the design in a project folder, this label populates in the design list as well.
Does your team need more features than just design statuses? Our Enterprise plan includes an approval workflow to manage the review process. Talk to Sales to learn more about Enterprise features.
Disabling Manual Design Statuses
This section applies to the Business and Enterprise plans.
Disabling the manual design allows you to have stricter control over the design review process. For more information, please see Approval Management.
Only users with the account owner, admin, or manager role can disable the manual design statuses from the workspace settings.
To disable the manual design statuses, take the following steps:
- Enter the Beefree App
- Navigate to the workspace where you'd like to disable the manual statuses
- Click Settings
- In the General Settings tab, scroll down to Approval Management
- Toggle the “Display Manual statuses” preference to OFF
Disabling manual statuses removes the feature on the details page that is described in this article. When manual statuses are disabled, design statuses are managed entirely through the Approval Workflow.
