Viewing and finding designs in folders
This article applies to paid plans.
Overview
While working in Beefree, you'll likely spend most of your time working inside folders. Folders help manage and organize your design creation workflow. You can create new folders from the Create new button from the Projects tab.
Searching inside a folder
Once you enter a folder, the first view is the list of emails and pages already created or imported.
You can use the grid view:
Or the list view:
The email and page list in your folder is sorted based on the date of the last update. You can also use the drop-down menu in the upper left-hand corner to sort by creation date or name.
Another option available in the list/grid view of a folder is a filter of all elements per Email or Page.
You can also use the search feature to locate an email or a page by keyword. When working within a folder, you can only search for designs that exist inside that folder. If you utilize email or page tags, you can also click on a tag to view all corresponding emails and pages.
For each email and page, Beefree shows:
-
A thumbnail
-
Email or Page icon
-
The name
- The description
-
Tags
-
The user and timestamp associated with the last change
- A bulk selection checkbox (when hovering over the design thumbnail)
Using the drop-down menu available for each email “Edit email” and for each page “Edit page”, you can:
-
Edit the design
-
View Details (email details and page details)
-
Send test (just for emails)
-
Copy the design
-
Move the design to another folder
-
Export the design
-
Delete the design

Searching all folders
In some cases, you might have a lot of folders stored in your account. If you find yourself in that situation, you can use the Global search option available on the folders list. This search option is available on the All folders page. While you can use this to search for specific folders, it will also search all emails and pages stored inside your folders.
When using Global search, the results are ordered by the most recent edit date to help you easily identify what you need.
Search results will also include an icon to indicate whether your search has pulled up an email, page, or an entire folder.
If you hover over the search results, it generates a preview of the found asset. This includes a thumbnail preview of the design itself for found emails or pages. From this preview window, you can also:
- Open the design Details
- Edit the email or page
The preview will also let you know which folder this asset is stored in. The Location details reflect this.
If you click on the name of an email or page returned in the search results, you'll be redirected to the in-builder version of the design.
Preview panes will also generate for any folders returned in your search results, but this does not include a thumbnail image. Instead, you'll have the option to Open folder, which redirects you to the design list within the folder. You can also get there by clicking on the folder title in the search results.
The preview for a folder will also show a Location. This reflects which workspace the folder is located in.
