BEE Pro is changing

BEE Pro has grown in many ways over the years: thousands of you began using it, showed us how you put it to work, and provided a large amount of feedback. As a result, it evolved over time, and we are now about to introduce a new set of changes: from releasing new collaboration features, to reducing the cost of additional users, to including users included in certain plans, to a much larger allotment for hosted image delivery.

Specifically:

• New subscriptions: the changes will take effect on Nov 4.
• Changes to an existing subscription: plan changes, addition of a new user, etc. will use the new subscription fees from Nov 4.
• Renewal of an existing subscription: existing subscriptions will renew at the new prices starting on Nov 11. This is to ensure that everything is working properly.

All plans

 

When are these changes taking place?

The new subscription fees will take effect starting on November 4, 2020.

New subscriptions (i.e. people that convert from a BEE Pro free trial) will use the new pricing & other subscription details (users, data traffic, etc.) starting on November 4. Changes to an existing subscription (e.g. a change of plan, an addition of a new user, etc.) will also use the new pricing starting on November 4. Renewals of existing subscription, however, will not use the new pricing until November 11. This is because we wanted to make sure that everything is working properly before we start updating thousands of existing BEE Pro subscriptions. So we are going to let a few days go and check that everything is OK.

Some of the new features mentioned here may be released even earlier. The Landing Pages BETA program is already live, so just ask to be included.

 

How about nonprofit discounts?

All nonprofit discounts will remain in effect as they are today. This is true both for the 100% discount on the Freelancer and Team plans, and for the 50% discount on the Agency plan. Since the Agency's plan subscription fees are increasing, you may experience a subscription amount increase if you are on that plan.

 

Freelancer plan

 

I’m on the Freelance plan, paying $15 per month. What changes for me?

Nothing. If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic.

 

I’m on the Freelance plan, paying $150 per year. Any changes at renewal?

No. The price remains the same. If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic.

 

I’m on the Freelancer plan, with some additional users. What changes for me?

Additional users are no longer available on the Freelancer plan, but the price of additional users on the Team plan was reduced substantially, and one additional user is now included in that plan.

For example, let’s say you have one additional user: today you are paying $15 + $8.50 = $23.50 per month. When you upgrade to the Team plan, you will be paying $30 per month. You don’t need to add new users as the Team plan includes one additional user. You will enjoy all of the great features of that plan (comments directly in the editor, user roles & permissions, one-click push to many applications, etc.) and 25x the amount of free monthly traffic that you were getting for hosted images on the current plan.

If you don’t wish to upgrade to the Team plan, you can stay on Freelancer and remove the additional users.

 

I’m on the Freelancer plan, paying $10 per month. What changes for me?

You’re on a monthly plan that was changed years ago, but your monthly amount had not yet been increased. It will now increase just $5, to $15/month, starting on November 11, 2020. If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free traffic (from 10GB to 50GB), which might translate into monthly savings.

 

Team plan

 

I’m on the Team plan paying $25 per month. What changes for me?

The Team plan now includes one additional user, so you can start taking advantage of all the great teamwork features that the plan provides: commenting, user roles & permissions, editing controls, etc.

• You will immediately have 1 additional “seat” available that you can assign to a new user.

• Your monthly subscription will go from $25 to $30 per month.

• There are no pro-rated charges: you will simply pay $30 at your next renewal, after Nov 11.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 50GB to 250GB per month).

 

I’m on the monthly Team plan. What if I upgrade to yearly before the price change?

You will save $110 over the next 12 months. That’s because you would pay $250 instead of $360 ($30/month for 12 months). So, good idea!  

The Team plan now includes one additional user, so you can start taking advantage of all the great teamwork features that the plan provides: commenting, user roles & permissions, editing controls, etc.

• You will immediately have 1 additional “seat” available that you can assign to a new user.

• There are no pro-rated charges: you will simply pay $300 at your next yearly renewal.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 50GB to 250GB per month).

 

I’m on the Team plan paying $250 per year. What changes for me?

The Team plan now includes one additional user, so you can start taking advantage of all the great teamwork features that the plan provides: commenting, user roles & permissions, editing controls, etc.

• You will immediately have 1 additional “seat” available that you can assign to a new user.

• Your monthly subscription will go from $250 to $300 per year.

• There are no pro-rated charges: you will simply pay $300 at your next renewal.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 50GB to 250GB per month).

 

I’m on the Team plan with one additional user, paying $46.25/m. What changes for me?

You will save money & have an additional seat that you can assign to another user, and take even more advantage of all the teamwork features that the Team plan provides. Specifically:

• Your monthly subscription will decrease from $46.25 to $45 per month at next renewal.

• You will have an additional “seat” that you can assign to a new user, since the Team plan now includes a user in the base subscription.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 50GB to 250GB per month).

 

I’m on the Team plan with 3 additional users. What changes for me?

You will save around $10/month & have an additional seat that you can assign to another user, taking even more advantage of all the teamwork features that the Team plan provides. Specifically:

• Your monthly subscription will decrease from $87.5 to $75 per month at next renewal, as additional users on Team are now just $15 each.

• You will have an additional “seat” that you can assign to a new user, since the Team plan now includes a user in the base subscription.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 50GB to 250GB per month).

 

Agency plan

 

I’m on the Agency plan paying $45 per month. What changes for me?

You are on a plan that’s designed for teamwork, so we added some new features to it (like comments built right into the editor), and included 4 users in the base price, so that BEE Pro customers can take advantage of teamwork functionality from the start.

That does mean that there’s a price increase, but we hope that you will see the tremendous value that these teamwork features bring to your organization.

• The subscription price will grow to $120 per month.

• There are no pro-rated charges: you will simply pay $120 at your next renewal.

• You will immediately have 3 “seats” that you can assign to colleagues, collaborators, or clients, with different roles and permissions, and access to specific Brands within your Agency account.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 100GB to 500GB per month), so there might be some savings there.

 

I’m on the monthly Agency plan at $45/m. What if I upgrade to yearly before the price change?

You will save $990 over the next 12 months. That’s because you would pay $450 instead of $1440 ($120/month for 12 months). So, good idea!  

• The subscription price will grow to $1200 per year, but not until your subscription renews.

• There are no pro-rated charges: you will simply pay $1200 at your next yearly renewal.

• You will immediately have 3 “seats” that you can assign to colleagues, collaborators, or clients, with different roles and permissions, and access to specific Brands within your Agency account.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 100GB to 500GB per month), so there might be some additional savings there.

 

I’m on the Agency plan, monthly, with 1 additional user. What changes for me?

The Agency plan now includes 4 users in the base plan.

• You immediately have 2 additional seats available to be assigned to new users.

• Your subscription amount will increase from $83.25/month to $120/month, at renewal.

• There are no pro-rated charges: you will simply pay $120 per month at your next renewal.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 100GB to 500GB per month), so there might be some savings there.

 

I’m on the Agency plan, yearly, no additional users. What changes for me?

The Agency plan now includes 4 users in the base plan.

• You immediately have 3 additional seats available to be assigned to new users.

• Your subscription amount will increase from $450/year to $1200/year, at renewal.

• There are no pro-rated charges: you will simply pay $1200 at your next yearly renewal.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 100GB to 500GB per month), so there might be some savings there.

 

I’m on the Agency plan, yearly, with 1 additional user. What changes for me?

The Agency plan now includes 4 users in the base plan.

• You immediately have 2 additional seats available to be assigned to new users.

• Your subscription amount will increase from $832.50/year to $1200/year, at renewal.

• There are no pro-rated charges: you will simply pay $1200 at your next yearly renewal.

• If you use hosted images, you will now have 5x the amount of free monthly traffic (from 100GB to 500GB per month), so there might be some savings there.

 

I’m on the Agency plan, and I'm using Single Brand Users. Any changes?

Yes. Single Brand Users will no longer be available. They were very rarely adopted by BEE Pro users, and some of the changes we introduced this fall were very much in the direction of simplifying things.

The Agency plan now includes 4 users in the base plan, so our records show that most BEE Pro Agency accounts that were using Single Brand Users will simply have their 1, 2 or 3 Single Brand Users included in their base plan. If you are one of the few customers with a higher number of SBUs, we'll reach out to you.

Technically speaking:

• Single Brand Users will now become regular users.

• As a result, you can now assign them to multiple brands.

• If you don't, they will simply stay assigned to the one brand that they had been assigned to.
