Previewing Designs in the Builder

Overview

Preview Mode in Beefree lets you see how your design will look when it's published. You can switch between desktop and mobile views, and use Dark Mode Preview to get an idea of how your email or page may appear in dark mode.

How to Access Preview Mode

1. Open your design within the Beefree builder.
2. Click the Preview icon closest to your design title in the top navigation toolbar.
3. This opens Preview mode, where you can see how your content looks on different devices.

Preview Features

Once in Preview mode, depending on your design type, you can perform the following actions:

Emails

• Toggle Dark Mode Preview: Enable a Dark Mode Preview to understand how your email may appear in dark mode.
• Switch between views: You can switch between desktop, tablet, or mobile views. You can also set custom dimensions for the viewport. If you update the height, the width will update to maintain the same aspect ratio, and vice versa. 
• Preview display conditions: If your email uses display conditions, use the dropdown to view each version as it will appear.
• Send Test: Send a test email using the button in the upper right-hand corner.
• Share: This option gives you access to your design's preview URL. You can generate a QR code, open it in a new tab, or copy the URL.

Pages

• Dark Mode Preview: Get an idea of how your page might appear in dark mode. Results may vary across browsers
• Responsive preview: Switch between desktop, tablet, or mobile views. You can also set custom dimensions for the viewport. If you update the height, the width will update to maintain the same aspect ratio, and vice versa. 
• Share: This option gives you access to your design's preview URL. You can generate a QR code, open it in a new tab, or copy the URL. Note that, even if your page is published, this will still reflect the preview URL.

Exiting Preview Mode

To return to the builder interface, click the X icon at the top-right corner of the preview window. You can return to preview mode anytime while working in the builder.
