Importing style settings and graphics from Canva
Why use Canva and Beefree?
Millions of people use Canva to design all sorts of graphics and other assets that they use in their marketing campaigns. Businesses use Canva to ensure that all of those assets are well organized, that they are accessible to the right people, and that they follow branding guidelines.
In other words, Canva's mission is very much aligned with Beefree's:
- It provides easy-to-use design tools to anyone.
- It provides businesses with brand control, team collaboration, and asset management tools.
So, why use Beefree and Canva together? Because Beefree focuses on email, while Canva focuses on pretty much everything else (but not email). They're a perfect match!
From Brand Kit to Workspace Styles
Canva's Brand Kit feature allows businesses to store logos, colors, fonts, etc. so that everyone working for the businesses can design assets that are consistent with branding guidelines.
For example, here is a screenshot of Beefree's own Brand Kit in its Canva account, showing some of the logos and colors that are part of Beefree's branding.
And here are some of the same colors in our Beefree account, stored as styles settings in one of the Workspaces.
If you have configured a Brand Kit in Canva, you will be able to replicate a lot of those settings in your Beefree account: colors, fonts, title formatting, etc.
You can also define default styles for all kinds of specific design elements that you will be using frequently in your emails and landing pages using the Advanced Style Kit.
Importing graphics from Canva
As a Canva user, chances are that a lot of the images, photos, and other graphics that you will use in your emails and landing pages, were designed with Canva. How can you use them in Beefree?
It's easy to do and only takes a few clicks.
- Under "Projects" in your Canva account, locate the design to export.
- Click on "Share" and "Download".
- Use PNG or JPG as the file format.
- Click on "Download" and save the graphic to your computer.
In your Beefree account, you can import the image that you exported from Canva in a number of ways.
- If you are not editing an email or landing page, click on "Library" in the navigation bar, and then "Media" to load the "File Manager". Once it's loaded, select the folder where you want to store the image, and click on "Upload". You can also drag and drop the image into the "File Manager" window: just make sure that you have opened the folder in which it should be stored.
- If you are working in the builder - drag and drop an image directly onto a new "Image" content block in the editing area, or select an existing image and click on the "Change image" button: the "File Manager" will open and you can follow the same steps outlined above. If needed, you can edit the image directly in Beefree using the built-in image editor. or adjust the way it displays in the email or landing page using the Image content block properties.
