Overview

At Beefree we are hard at work finding new and innovative ways to help you boost productivity and save time. The addition of our new multi-select menu is an enhancement that achieves these two goals. You can now copy templates and folders to other workspaces. You can also move multiple folders and designs to a single workspace.

Before this enhancement, the multi-select menu feature only copied rows to other workspaces. With this enhancement, we expanded the feature to include templates and folders. Our goal was to create a predictable and standardized experience across the application. Additionally, we wanted to empower you to organize your workspaces quickly and seamlessly. This article will discuss how to move designs to other folders and workspaces. To learn more about how to copy templates, visit our Copy Templates to Workspaces. 

Prerequisites

To get started, ensure you meet the following requirements:

• Designs to a New Folder: A Professional plan, or a Business plan with two workspaces or more
• Designs to a New Workspace: A Beefree plan with two or more workspaces 
• A role of Owner, Admin, or Manager

Designs to a New Folder

To move one or more designs to a new folder, take the following steps:

1. Log in to your Beefree account
2. Navigate to Projects
3. Hover over the design you’d like to move
4. Check the box on the upper left-hand corner of the design
5. Repeat step four for any other designs you’d also like to move

At the bottom center of the screen, you will notice a popup

6. Select Move to inside the popup
7. Select the folder destination for the designs in the Folders tab
8. Click Confirm

You will see a notification displaying Excellent! The moving process has started.

Note: You need a paid plan to access this feature.

Designs to a New Workspace

To move one or more designs to a new workspace, take the following steps:

1. Log in to your Beefree account
2. Navigate to Projects
3. Hover over the design you’d like to move
4. Check the box on the upper left-hand corner of the design
5. Repeat the step for any other designs you’d also like to move
   1. At the bottom center of the screen, you will notice a popup
6. Select Move to inside the popup
7. Select the workspace destination for the designs in the Workspaces tab
8. Click Confirm
   1. You will see a notification displaying Excellent! The moving process has started.

Keep in mind that when you move a design, the URL of the design will also change.

Note: You need a plan with two workspaces or more to access this feature.

Additional Considerations

When you move designs, a notice pops up in your Notification Center. Everyone in your workspace gets notified. The notification redirects you to the exact folder or the Projects section. But if there are multiple workspaces or folders, the notice does not redirect you.

Remember, while the move is processing, your designs will not be available. If the move is not successful, you will receive a notification. Click on it to head back to your workspace and see which designs moved and which didn't.

When selecting one or more designs, the "Order by", "Type" filters and the Search bar disappear. They remain available but blocked, meaning you cannot use them. Stay tuned for updates on this!
